1936 Movie Poster

“Drift Fence”  a 1936 Paramount Film directed by Otho Lovering and starring Larry “Buster” Crabbe, Katherine DeMille, Tom Keene, Benny Baker, Glenn (Leif) Erikson), Stanley Andrews and Richard Carle is the first feature in the April 19 lineup.

The Internet Movie Database says:

“Cowboy pretends to be city dude sent to manage uncle’s ranch, when he learns the ranch is being menaced by an outlaw who the cowboy badly wants to catch.”

Henry C. Parke (Henry’s Western Roundup) says:

“One of a dozen or so Zane Grey novel adaptations that Paramount turned out in the 1930s, DRIFT FENCE (1936) is well done. Though presented as starring Buster Crabbe, he’s actually the second lead, and a villain at that – a nice novelty for an actor who was almost always the hero. It’s nice to see him given a chance to act.”
