In her April 4 article on Western Film Preservation Society member Jim Sanders, News & Observer writer Sarah Nagem said,
Sanders’ artistic talent was apparent early on. He still has a picture he drew as a third-grader of a cowboy on a horse.
Jim continues to draw and paint the cowboy stars we enjoy watching on the big screen. Most months he contributes one of his originals for raffle during the club’s monthly meeting.
We plan to add a page of his work to this site later, so stay tuned. In the meantime, you can read the newspaper feature on Jim and his work here.
And we hope you enjoy this brief video tribute to the stars of the great westerns featuring Jim’s artwork.
