COWBOY TALK

First off, many thanks for all the help on the last meeting, since I was not there. From all reports, Ray Smith and David Hunter did a marvelous job. It’s obvious that my absence did not deter the crowd. . . 121 in attendance! And a good time was had by all!

I want to thank Larry Floyd and the entire committee running the Williamsburg Film Festival for honoring me with the “Eddie Wall Award” for contributions made to the “Golden Era of Films.” My name is on the award, but I feel as though I am simply representing our entire club. It is you, the contributing members, who have made our club the resounding success it is!

Don’t forget the “Milo Holt Western Film Festival” coming up on May 19 in Siler City (more later). Also, more information will be coming in the next newsletter regarding the Winston-Salem Film Fair in July.

Put it on your calendar! NC State’s ENCORE Program’s Summer Schedule will be out any day now, and will include a listing for another “Cowboy Course.” The class will meet 9:00—10:30 on Thursday mornings for six weeks beginning May 3.
