Our “Cowboy of the Year” is Colonel Tim McCoy. Known as Colonel Tim to millions, McCoy appeared in rodeos and Wild West shows all over the country for many years following his screen career, always projecting a good cowboy image to his fans. Tim McCoy also was a noted authority on American Indian history (1891-1978).

Feature 2. Border G-Man (RKO, 1938) Starring George O’Brien, Laraine Johnson (Day), Ray Whitley and John Miljan. Directed by David Howard.
The Serial for this season is “Dick Tracy Vs. Crime, Inc.” (Republic, 1941) Starring Ralph Byrd, The Ghost, Michael Owen and Jan Wiley. Directed by William Witney and John English. We will view Chapters 3 and 4 during the October meeting.

My brother Richard just gave me a whole bunch of Tim McCoy comics on digital disc. He found them on the Net. Nice to know this modern tech allows us to access some of the old Western treasures.
