Howdy Buckaroos and Buckarettes!

Feature 1: The Fargo Kid (RKO, 1940) Starring Tim Holt, Western Music legend Ray Whitley, Emmett Lynn and Jane Drummond. Directed by Edward Killy.

The Fargo Kid was the second in Holt’s series of Westerns for RKO. The script was based on a story which had been previously filmed as Man In The Rough (1928) and The Cheyenne Kid (1935).

Feature 2: The Texas Rangers (Columbia, 1951) Starring George Montgomery, Gale Storm, Jermone Court and Noah Beery Jr. Directed by Phil Karlson

Chapters 12 & 13 of the serial Dick Tracy vs Crime Inc. (Republic, 1941) Starring Ralph Byrd, The Ghost, Michael Owen and Jan Wiley. Directed by William Witney and John English.

Johnny Mack Brown is the Man From Montana

Johnny Mack Brown was a football star at the University of Alabama and helped win the 1926 Rose Bowl. He then became a movie star beginning his career in “A” movies. Later he became a popular Cowboy star. One of his cowboy films will be our first feature at the March meeting.
